Masterly Inactivity is probably the least discussed Charlotte Mason principle, though it is quite vital to a thriving, joyful homeschool. If we could master Masterly Inactivity, we would find our homeschool a more peaceful, happy place and our children more self-sufficient and self-motivated. Charlotte Mason gives us seven primary tools for practicing Masterly Inactivity and they all hinge upon the foundation for a Charlotte Mason Education and that is faith that the Divine Life at work in our children at all times, in all circumstances.
